The Distributed System of Scientific Collections (DiSSCo) welcomes and fully endorses the European Open Science Cloud (EOSC) Declaration, recognising the mission-critical role of EOSC towards an open science and open innovation research landscape. DiSSCo acknowledges the operation of EOSC as foundational for the successful delivery and provision of the DiSSCo Research Infrastructure (RI) services.
While we consider EOSC to be a mission-critical European enterprise for European RIs, we hereby highlight the crucial role of these RIs, and their respective communities of practice, in the realisation and effective governance of EOSC. As such, DiSSCo acknowledges its responsibilities towards EOSC, both as a principal user of services as well as a provider and key stakeholder.
DiSSCo enlists itself in the coalition of doers[2], actively contributing to Open Science practices across its communities of practice and deploying its service portfolio based on the principles in the EOSC Declaration.
