Governance
How DiSSCo Prepare was organised
Achieving the optimum maturity level for DiSSCo demanded that advances were also made with regard to DiSSCo’s future legal entity, governance model, strategy, business framework, and contribution model.
DiSSCo also pursued the creation of economies of scale. For that, it set up to design a specialisation plan and tools for aligning institutional policies with the general ones designed for the DiSSCo RI, thus ensuring well-informed decisions about the prioritisation of objectives at the national and DiSSCo level.
The strategy to achieve governance maturity was two-fold:
The constitution of the Funders Forum advisory board and other funders’ engagement mechanism. The participation of DiSSCo’s National Nodes played an essential role on the constitution of this crucial advisory body.
The European Research Infrastructure Consortium (ERIC) roadmap, in which the DiSSCo Coordination Office and the Funders Forum joined forces to develop a structured process towards the constitution of DiSSCo’s legal entity.
