E-RIHS is the European Research Infrastructure for Heritage Science that supports research on heritage interpretation, preservation, documentation and management. Its mission is to deliver integrated access to expertise, data and technologies through a standardized approach, and to create a strong cohesive global heritage science community.
Both E-RIHS and DiSSCo predicate on gathering and unifying access to data and concentrate on the long-term preservation of data that – if combined and merged – can significantly contribute to tackling urgent societal challenges. Together they form a robust baseline for heritage studies in regard to curation, preservation, management and access, which greatly contributes to a more solid, precise and contrasted source of information available for researchers and the society at large.
