    The scope of the COST Action MOBILISE is to build up a cooperative, inclusive, bottom-up and responsive network with active involvement of European stakeholders to support research for biodiversity informatics. MOBILISE will facilitate knowledge and technology transfer across stakeholders, bridging the gap between biodiversity and geoscience research and information technology best practices.

    Within the COST action MOBILISE, a workshop is organised to promote alignment of the DiSSCo-linked projects at the work level. The meeting will take place on the 16th of November at the Plant Science and Biodiversity Centre, Slovak Academy of Sciences, Institute of Botany in Bratislava.

    Back to school is the motto for a certain group of people linked to DiSSCo. Because the DiSSCo coordination office is very keen to invest in the natural scientific collections community and further develop skills surrounding the management and leadership of RIs, it reserved three places in the Executive Masters class "Management of Research Infrastructures" at the University of Milano.

    As part of the ICEDIG.eu project (a design refinement project of DiSSCo) a roundtable is organised on Tuesday, 4 December to discuss the challenges and specificities around developing robust and effective partnerships frameworks for RIs, during their preparatory, implementation or operational phase.

    Building leadership capacity across the DiSSCo consortium is essential for the successful development of DiSSCo. The Executive Masters in Management of Research Infrastructures (EMMRI) at the University of Milano-Bicocca is an opportunity to start building this capacity. Thanks to funding received by NLBIF, DiSSCo is able to participate as a Team to the 12 modules included in the Executive Masters programme for 2018-2020.
